1901–2026: To mark the 125th anniversary, a special exhibition along the Krimml Waterfall Trail invites visitors on an exciting journey through time. Informative display panels provide visitors with fascinating facts about the trail’s origins, its development, and the people who have shaped it. Discover fascinating stories, historical milestones, and 125 years of eventful history—right along one of Austria’s most impressive natural attractions.
The climate is changing, and nature is changing along with it. To ensure the safety of our visitors, we are implementing not only numerous “small” infrastructure measures but also “large” projects on an ongoing basis. This year, safety work in the area of the Riemann Kanzel was completed. A safety net with a total length of approximately 290 m was installed to protect against falling rocks. The next steps are already being planned: A 124-meter-long tunnel will be built near the uppermost waterfall.
The new visitor center offers everything a modern, convenient infotainment facility needs today. Quick and easy access to information, up-to-date ticket payment methods, a well-stocked gift shop, restrooms—including those accessible to people with disabilities—and, of course, friendly, service-oriented staff make a visit to the Krimml Waterfalls a special experience right from the start.

For a comfortable stay at the Krimml waterfalls, the sculptor Christian Hitsch designed several granite seats that blend harmoniously into the landscape at Kürsingerplatz.
From the newly built "Jagasprung" viewing platform, new views of the Krimml Waterfalls open up. Here you can feel the impressive power of the water in the middle of the waterfalls.
The information area at the entrance to the waterfalls was designed by Mr. Andreas Zangl to be particularly attractive. Piano keys that can be stepped on create a water feature that simulates the waterfalls in different conditions and is particularly appealing to younger visitors.
