The Waterfall Trail

 

For more than 100 years the well constructed Waterfall Trail of 4 km in length with its numerous vantage points and platforms has taken nature lovers very close to the nature spectacle of the Krimml Waterfalls. After a 10 – 15 minutes’ walk from the parking area you reach the lowest waterfall, from where the serpentine Waterfall Trail leads up to the top waterfall (walking time approx. 1 ¼ hours) and into the Krimml Achental valley. Along the trail vantage platforms afford sensational views of the roaring water masses of the Krimml Waterfalls. The information point will provide you with some facts worth knowing. Moreover, a wide range of literature, DVDs, and much more is available at the information centre of the OeAV, the Austrian Alpine Association. Up to the vantage platform Kürsingerplatz the trail is built to meet the needs of disabled visitors.
