Our Hiking Proposals

Proposals for tours – from hut to hut (2-day or 3-day tours)

Starting point Krimml 1076 m
Krimml – along the Krimml Waterfalls to the Krimmler Tauernhaus (walking time 3 ½ hrs., going by shuttle bus possible) – through the Rainbachtal valley to the Richterhütte (2 ½ hrs.) – via the Windbachscharte to the Krimmler Tauern (border crossing) – descending to Birnlücken Hütte (7 hrs.) – ascending to Birnlücke – Krimmler Tauernhaus ( 3 hrs.) – hiking through the Krimml Achental valley to Krimml ( 3 hrs.). Krimml – along the Krimml Waterfalls to the Krimmler Tauernhaus (walking time 3 ½ hrs., going by shuttle bus possible) – ascending to the Rainbachscharte, on to the Zittauer Hütte ( 4 ½ hrs.) – descending to Finkau in the Wildgerlostal valley (2 ½ hrs.).

Starting point Neukirchen 835 m
Driving possible up to the parking lot Hopffeldboden – Kürsingerhütte (walking time 5 hrs., going by shuttle bus possible up to the material ropeway) – via the Krimmler Törl (glacier) to the Warnsdorfer Hütte (4 hrs.) – descending to the Krimmler Tauernhaus ( 2 ½ hrs.) – hiking through the Krimml Achental valley to Krimml ( 3 hrs.).

Starting point ”Gasthof Finkau” 1422 m (at the end of the Durlaßboden storage lake)
Driving possible up to “Gasthof Finkenau” (parking lot) – ascending to the Zittauer Hütte (3 hrs.) – via the Rosskarscharte to the Richter Hütte (4 hrs.) – descending to the Krimmler Tauernhaus ( 2 hrs.) – hiking through the Krimml Achental valley to Krimml ( 3 hrs.).

Starting point Kasern in the ”Hinters Ahrntal” valley (South Tyrol)
Parking lot Kasern – Birnlücken Hütte (2 ½ - 3 hrs.) – via the Birnlücke (border crossing) to the Warnsdorfer Hütte (3 hrs.) – descending to the Krimmler Tauernhaus ( 2 ½ hrs.) – hiking through the Krimml Achental valley to Krimml ( 3 hrs.).
